These terms govern the use of this site. By browsing it, you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
1. Who runs this site
This is the personal site of Manuel Pérez, a data engineer in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, Canada. You can write to me at me@manuelperez.ca.
2. Use of the site
You agree to use the site lawfully and respectfully. You may not:
- Copy, scrape or republish the site’s text, photos, diagrams or design without written permission.
- Send false information or impersonate someone else.
- Try to access non-public parts of the site or interfere with how it works.
- Use the form to send unsolicited advertising.
3. Information on the site
The site describes my experience and my work. Case studies are anonymized: they do not name clients or employers, and their diagrams are illustrative. Articles are general information and are not professional advice for a specific case.
Figures on the site describe real results of past projects. They are not a promise of results on future projects.
4. Copyright and trademarks
The text, design, photos and diagrams on this site belong to Manuel Pérez unless stated otherwise. Names of employers, tools and platforms belong to their owners and appear only to describe my experience. You may share links to these pages, but not copy their content without permission.
5. Blog comments
Comments are reviewed before they are published. When you comment, you agree to:
- Treat other people with respect.
- Not post insults, discriminatory or illegal content, or other people’s personal data.
- Not use comments for advertising or to leave misleading links.
I may decline to publish, or later remove, a comment that breaks these rules. You remain responsible for what you write.
6. Links to other sites
The site links to other services, such as LinkedIn. I do not control those services and I am not responsible for their content or their privacy policies.
7. Liability
I do my best to keep the site working and its information accurate, but I do not guarantee it is free of errors or interruptions. To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for damages arising from use of the site.
8. Roles and contracts
Using the site or sending me a message does not create an employment or service relationship. Any role or contract is agreed directly, in writing, with whoever offers it.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be submitted to the courts of Ontario, unless the law that protects you as a consumer provides otherwise.
10. Changes to these terms
I may update these terms. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with its update date.
